Day 9, Wednesday February 12 ~ Free Day

There were no scheduled group activities on this day.  Some went to Hawks Nest and others to Honeymoon Beach to swim and/or snorkel.  One group went to Caneel for a buffet lunch.  Still others stayed at Cinnamon Bay and swam, snorkeled, read, and rested.

Day 10, Thursday February 13 ~ Virgin Gorda

We left camp early for Cruz Bay and a boat ride to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.  The boat ride runs east between St. John and Tortola and passes along the north shore of St. John including Cinnamon Bay and Maho Bay.  Upon arriving in Virgin Gorda and going through customs, most took a taxi directly to the Baths at the southwest corner of the island.  A few of us first took a taxi tour of the island before then going to the Baths.  The famous Baths are where there are many huge boulders sprinkled on the shore and in the water.  One can walk and swim amongst them  This year we had lots of competition with many folks from a variety of other groups and from the numerous sailboats that anchored offshore.
