In the afternoon we visited the Reykjavik City Folk Museum, Arbaejarsafn, where we recollect hearing that Ingi was married.
Day 16, Sunday June 15 ~ The Golden Circle
We took an all day bus tour called the "Golden Circle". The first stop was in Pingvellir, a national park, where we walked along a huge rift where the European and North American plates are pulling apart from each other. Nearby is the ancient (930 AD) home of the Alping, the Icelandic parliament.
After a short stop at Gullfoss waterfall we had a longer stay at the Geysir thermal area, where Geysir and other geysers did their thing every few minutes.

On the way back to Reykjavik we stopped at Skalholt church, the ancient seat of the Icelandic bishops, Kerid, an explosion crater, and a thermally heated greenhouse in Hveragerdi near we we took a hike on our first day in Iceland.
Day 17, Monday June 16 ~ The Blue Lagoon
We packed up and took a bus to the Blue Lagoon, a thermal area with a large power plant and a blue lagoon for a couple hours of bathing and soaking. The air temperature was about 40 and raining, while the water temperature was in the mid 90s. Some folks applied a special mud for "beauty". After lunch the bus took us to the airport for our return flight.
