August 30 - Franz Senn Hutte
Today we were picked up by two taxis which took us up a side valley from Milders to the end of the road at Oberissalm at 1742m. From there we followed a trail that continued up the valley and then went up innumerable rocky zigzags to a higher valley and the Alpeineralm. We paused only briefly here and continued up the valley along a rocky trail that followed a roaring glacial stream to the century old Franz Senn Hutte at 2147m.

Many sheep roamed the hillside.![]() |
While at the hut we suddenly heard a bunch of shouting and it was
three farmers and a couple of dogs herding their cows down from an upper
pasture to a lower one near the Alpeineralm because of the impending
weather. Rain and snow were predicted.![]() |
