August 28 - Elfer and Zwolfer Nieder
This morning we took the bus just a couple of stops to the Elferbahn which brought us to an elevation of 1793m. From there we had wonderful views of the Stubai Valley, Neustift, and paragliders.

We went up a steep switch-back trail |
to the Elferhutte. |
After a brief rest, |
we continued on a broad well-graded trail appropriately called the
Panorama Weg. |
Elferspitz to our right. |
The Pinnis Valley to our left. |
We came upon a trail construction crew. |
We zigzagged up toward the saddle. |
A marmot dashed by. |
The Zwolfer Nieder (low point) is the saddle between Zwolfer and Elfer
Spitze. |
