Austria 2012

After overnight flights from home to Innsbruck all but one of us gathered at the Hotel Bellevue in Neustift, Austria, about 10:30am. The Bellevue was our home for the next two weeks. After getting settled in our rooms, everyone was ready for our first hike.

Ginette leads the way.	We could see our destination high up on the hillside.
We passed the town Freibad (Outdoor swimming pool)	and open fields.
There were views down to the town of Neustift.
In a misty fog,	we arrived at our destination the Kartnallhof Alm.
Here we had our first Austrian lunch. Some of the choices were knodelsuppe, bratwurst mit rostkartoffeln und sauerkraut and kaiserschmarrm with apfelmus. After lunch the trail became a road which went through a long tunnel. We came out in the Milders valley which we followed to the Ruetz River that runs through the Stubai valley. We followed it back to the hotel.
