September 2 - Pinnis Valley and Innsbrucker Hutte

The forecast for the day was a bit better. We left the hotel squeezed into one large taxi and were driven to the Karalm (1739m) at the end of the road in the Pinnis Valley. We started hiking up the trail on the left side of the valley toward Pinnis Joch. There were numerous low hanging clouds and some fog.

View of the basin on the other side of the saddle.

Just beyond the Joch was the  Innsbrucker Hutte at 2369m where we had lunch.

After lunch the ceiling gradually lifted, the views got nicer and it got warmer.
