On Tobago we had a 1 1/2 hour bus ride along increasingly narrow and windy roads to the Blue Waters Inn where we stayed for 3 nights. This low key beach resort is on Batteaux Bay and looks out toward small Goat Island and larger Little Tobago beyond it.

Activities here included swimming/snorkeling, walking on the beach, sunbathing, resting, kayaking and drinking wonderful mixed drinks. We also went on a tour to Little Tobago and to a rain forest. These are described in other pages.

Ruddy turnstones were everywhere on the beach and would come into the dining room seeking handouts. |
