February 21 - Mount Cook and back to Queenstown

We awoke to beautiful views of Mt. Cook.  This morning we had a choice of two different walks starting from our hotel.  One was the Governor's Bush Walk in a silver beech/tawahi forest.  The other was the Red Tarns walk, named for the red pond weed that grows in them.  Some did one or the other and a few did both.  The pictures here start with the Governor's Bush Walk.  There was also time to explore the National Park visitor center.

At a viewpoint we could see some of those climbing to the Red Tarns.

After lunch we took a bus back to Queenstown.  That evening we had our group Farewell Dinner at the Fishbone Bar and Grill.

The next morning there was some free time in Queenstown and then the SuperShuttle brought folks to the Queenstown airport for flights home.
