New Zealand 2014

After an early breakfast we left the motel with SuperShuttle for the Rotorua airport. From here we flew first to Christchurch and then on another plane to Queenstown.
	We flew over Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, which is at the south end of North Island.
Once in Queenstown SuperShuttle brought us to the delightful Scenic Suites Queenstown where we would stay several times in the next week. Once we checked in there was free time to explore Queenstown. Queenstown is a popular and beautiful resort town, surrounded by mountains and Lake Wakatipu.

At 4:45 pm we attended a Pre-Track Briefing at the Ultimate Hikes Centre. Here we received a complete outline of what to expect, were provided with equipment, given an opportunity to purchase last minute items, to complete the required medical forms, and to meet our fellow walkers. From here we walked directly to the highly rated Flame Bar & Grill, for a Valentine's Day Group Dinner.
