Connemara and Diamond Hill

Today we made a tour of Connemara.  First we stopped at a shop where various items made from Connemara green marble were sold.  Then we stopped in a small town where a holy procession was taking place.

We continued on to Connemara National Park where we did a loop hike over Diamond Hill.

There are boardwalks to protect the boggy areas.

From the top there are views of Kylemore Abbey and the Connemara mountains.

On the way back to Salthill we passed Kylemore Abbey and many lakes and mountains.

That evening we attended "Trad on the Prom", a spectacular performance of Irish music and dancing.
