Cliffs of Moher

We left Dingle and went northeast.  To get across the River Shannon we had to take a ferry, which became an interesting experience.

At the Cliffs of Moher we had time to wander and to see the cliffs from a variety of angles.

Many gulls were nesting on the cliffs

A nearby scene

The Visitor Center was built into the hillside.

We continued northeast along the coast and stopped to see some of the peculiar geology of the Burren region.

We passed through Galway and went on to nearby Salthill, a small coastal town, where we stayed for two nights.
