Glendalough

We had a guided tour of the ruins of the abandoned monastery at Glendalough, some of which date to the 5th century.

As it was damp, drizzly and foggy we did a walk on the Miners' Road along and around the Upper and Lower Glendalough Lakes.

Peregrine Falcon watchers.  We didn't see any.

Ruins of a Miners Village

Jenni and Shelly keep their feet dry.

On the way back to Woodenbridge we encountered rain and many bicyclers.

We made an interesting stop at the Avoca Woolen Mills

and also at the picturesque town of Ballymoran.
